Ask Lucyy:

App Development and Design

overview

How can we make a travel tech platform feel human?

For our latest Ask Lucyy promotional campaign, we created three original characters — Momo, Naraya and Carla — starting from hand-drawn concept sheets to establish personality, proportions and emotional tone. We used Claude to refine character backstories and conversational tone, AI-assisted tools to explore pose variations and scene compositions, and motion platforms to prototype animations efficiently before polishing final sequences. Figma was used to systemise layouts and maintain brand consistency across social ads, app previews and campaign creatives.

By combining human-led storytelling with AI-accelerated iteration, we translated early sketches into cohesive motion graphics and advertising assets — ensuring consistent typography, colour systems and messaging across every touchpoint.

Colour and Typography

The colour palette for Ask Lucyy was kept minimal to create a clean and focused interface, using neutral greys and black for the base UI while introducing a warm orange accent for the Lucyy mascot to give the brand a friendly personality. A red accent colour was used sparingly for key interactive elements such as navigation buttons to guide user attention.

The typography uses a bold, rounded sans-serif style for headings to create a modern and approachable tone. A clear typographic hierarchy was established with large headings, secondary section titles, and smaller body text to ensure readability and consistency across the interface.

User Flow and Interface Structure

App Campaign Video Production

Ask Lucyy was designed as a personalised food discovery and travel assistant that helps users easily decide where to eat based on their preferences, location, and current trends. The goal of the product was to simplify decision-making and create a friendly digital companion that feels intuitive, approachable, and intelligent.
